Technology

Leicestershire, 21 May 2008 - Aqata, the UK\'s leading independent British
manufacturer of shower enclosures, today announces the launch of its new
patented thermostatic shower valve. The British made valve is TMV2 approved,
incorporates anti-scalding technology and features precise flow control.
Compatible with all types of plumbing systems, the innovative valve
cartridge provides a new generation of thermostatic valve technology and can
be installed with all of Aqata\'s new range of Linneal showers.

Aqata\'s new Linneal shower valve is factored at 38? to 44?C for safe
showering temperature, eliminating the need for a red button system. To
prevent scalding the patented valve has full thermal protection for either
hot or cold water shut off, meaning the shower automatically shuts down
within 1.5 seconds should the hot or cold water supply fail. Suitable for
both high and low pressure systems, this new valve is tested to produce flow
rates delivering 8.8 litres of water per minute at 0.1 Bar Pressure and
operate to a maximum pressure of 5 Bar.

The unique patented valve is front-accessed for easy installation, allowing
all service parts to be reached from behind the cover plate and providing
straight-forward removal for filters and check valves. Featuring a one-piece
reversible cartridge in a one-piece brass casting the Linneal valve is
highly resistant to limescale and calcium build-up, even in hard water
areas.
